How To Take a Screenshot
Taking a screen shot of your computer monitor is very easy to do in most cases.

Steps:

1. Above the arrow keys on most keyboards, you should see a ground of keys such as "Insert", "Home", etc. Above that set of keys you'll see another group of keys and the one on the left side is called "Print Scrn". If you press that button, you'll get a picture of whatever is on your monitor at the time.

2. Now that you've captured the image, you need to paste it into a program. Assuming you are using Windows, go into the Start menu, then click All Programs, then click on Accessories and then click on Paint. Once you're in Paint, go to the edit menu and click on Paste.

3. Now, there is a good chance you are only interested in a portion of this image. To create an image that is just the part of the screen shot you want, first click on any of the tools on the left side other than "Select". Then click on the "Select" tool which should be at the top of the right hand column. Use your mouse to click and drag and select the area you want your image to be. It can only be a square or rectangle. Once you've got a dotted outline, right click inside that square with your mouse and click on "Cut".

4. Now that portion will be white. Now right click outside that white area you just cut out. Click on "Select All". Now on your keyboard, click on the "Delete" button. Now in Paint, go to the Edit menu and click on "Paste". Now you should see the portion of the image you want in the upper left hand corner. Now you need to get rid of the white background. Use the window to scroll all the way down and over to the lower right hand corner. Click on the corner and drag it all the way to the lower right corner of your image.

5. Now you can click on the File menu and Save As. Giving it whatever name you want and saving it to your chosen folder. You'll probably want to change the "Save As Type" drop down menu from the default setting of 24-bit Bitmap to JPEG, which is the most common image format on the web. That's all there is to it!
