How To Make New Friends
Determine who you would like to be friends with and why you be in love with these people. Be open-minded and introduce yourself. Repeat the name of the person you are meeting that will help you memorize his or her name.
Take your time in making friends. If you are a student, involve yourself in after-school activities such as sports, clubs, or other activities that interest you. Try and join as much clubs as you can. For instance, if you love playing basketball or tennis, then join the team or tennis club and take this chance to attempt a new sport.
Be responsive to other people. Try to accept peoples values, their thoughts as well as new religions. Develop your listening skills and think before you talk. When people speak pleasant things about you, say thank you without being overconfident. Say nice things to others. Email your new friends with fun things rather than asking what their plans are. Engage in a new hobby or go on with the old one.
Take the opportunities God gives you. Find out a need in your community or church and fill up it. Walk your children to the bus stop and talk to other mothers. Arrange parties to spend time with new and old friends. In the beginning, never refuse to accept an invitation from someone. When you are invited to do things, say yes even if you feel shy, don't know where is the invite's house, or don't idea what to wear. When someone invites you this week to do something, invite them after that week. You can also invite someone to lunch.
Be available and an initiator. Find impressive that you have in familiar with people you meet. There are a number of great places to meet new people. If you are really interested, you will automatically make friendship with them. Keep in mind that you must be a friend to have a friend. Pray for God to send just the true person to be your friend.
