How To Save Gas
Steps:
1) Selecting synthetic oil is the most important thing here as the engine parts will be able to move much faster and freely as compared with natural oil, thereby rising the mileage by around 10 %. Even though synthetic oil is little more expensive, they need not be changed more often.
2) Adding nitrogen to your tires is also recommended as it provides roughly no leakage through the rim, valve and sides so that your tires would stay pumped up longer, enhancing the fuel economy and fewer wearing.
3) Installing a fuel-use gauge is also a good idea as it will provide you with immediate reading of the fuel usage of your car. This helps you in watching out the wastage of fuel by the engine or speeding.
4) Avoid overfilling the gas tank as it will immediately evaporate or spill down the side of the car.
5) Tightening the gas cap is important to ensure that the gas doesnt overflow out the neck of the tank while drive.
6) Keeping the car's body dirt free and smooth is also essential as dirt can lead to aerodynamic dragging, thereby overworking the engine and lifting the fuel bill. A clean, waxed car is said to use only 5 % less fuel than a unclean one. Therefore, checking the underbody of the car for any dirt or mud is also important.
7) Parking your car in an indoor lot, shade of a tree or building cool is essential as excess heat can make the use of air conditioning much more.
8) Remember to park with the hood pointing out as backing out of a parking spot with cold engine would take more effort and of course fuel too.
9) Avoid doing drive-throughs. It would be better idea to park your car and walk into the fast-food restaurant instead of wasting your fuel driving through as idling the engine can also waste gas.
