How to Use Torrents

The specific file type employed in peer-to-peer (P2P) network settings called a Torrent helps you to share and download files efficiently. Programs that hold P2P environments are called Torrent clients. Torrents provides easier file sharing or downloading. In this article, we help you in using torrents step by step.

Steps:

1. Recognizing the basic terms of Torrent. Seeders are the name given to the sources that helps in uploading and sharing the entire file. Most importantly, while downloading a file at least one seeder is available. If no seed is currently available for a downloaded file, no download is possible. Peers are users that download a Torrent file and concurrently share to other users the parts that are already downloaded. Leecher is the user that downloads files. All Torrent clients contain trackers that check all downloads and upload and help to recognize seeds, peers and leechers.

2. Make sure that a 1:1 ratio between seed and leecher is sustained. If the seeds available are more, then the downloading speed will also be high. But the increase in leechers makes downloading slower. Trackers check the user ratio. Torrent clients help in assigning more bandwidth to sources or users having a low download to upload ratio.

3. Start by selecting, downloading, and installing a Torrent client. In order to find the client, type the words torrent client on your search engine. You can choose from numerous Torrents available. Certain Torrent clients hold a particular file sharing environment that includes either music only or video only Torrents, while some others are used in sharing and downloading any file that comprise of music, video, picture, and even programs. You can select it as per your wish.

4. By using Torrent-indexing sites, you can download your first torrent. In order to find the Torrent-indexing sites, type torrent index on search engines. After entering the site and search for a Torrent file for downloading.

5. Setting details of Torrent file. Double click on the Torrent or open torrent option so that your Torrent client will automatically download. Save the Torrent in a destination finally.
