Selecting a sun-exposed area in your yard that is not larger than 5 feet by 5 feet is the first step to be employed during gardening. Larger area can make gardening work frustrating. Turning of the soil with a spading fork or shovel is the next step for gardening. The ground that is hard makes it difficult for the penetration of plant roots easily. You should again water the soil before planting and remember that the roots of the plants never Water the prepared soil prior to planting. Plant roots should not contact with dry soil. Using small plants from the nursery as compared to seed growing is highly advised as growing from seeds requires great time and experience. Novice gardener should opt for smaller plants instead.
It is highly important to choose those plants that grow well in your locality. avoid exotic plants varieties when beginning your gardening career. Checking with your local nursery for an assortment of plants well appropriate for your area is a good idea. Once you complete planting, remember to water them immediately so that the roots of the plants can settle in the soil. Adding fertilizers unless a new growth is seen is not appreciated. Not you can watch your plant slowly maturing and growing to a healthy plant.
