Preparing the Area
First select an appropriate area around your yard by measuring the available space. Finding area is important for getting the right amount of materials. Note the sizes and sweep the debris away. Sash the grass and eliminate the rocks and other dirt. Make the ground level for building a wooden deck.
Making the Outer Frame
Create the frame from 2 x 8 boards in such a way that the front and back measures 12 feet. Make it 11 ft and 8 by sawing the sides. Connect the side boards within the front and back boards using the screws.
Making the Footers
Make footers from the 4 x 4s board by putting each one at least two feet in the ground. Some concrete mix up should be thrown to a couple of inches off the surface followed by sprinkling of dirt over it. Attach it to the house using screws. Check if the post and frame are on level.
For building a deck, the posts should not be greater than 4 ft distant from one another. You can make a stronger base by adding plenty.
Making the Interior Boards
Making one board per post is advised. The footers are leaning north / south and east / west. You should cut them precisely. Make use of at least 3 screws for every board for added strength.
How to Put it All Together
Connect the boards to the footers using 4 screws. You can get the help of other people for faster work. You can fasten all the screws in place by drilling all the proper holes. Make notches on the boards for building a wooden deck.
Make the cuts 2 in width and 4 in depth using the jig saw. Remember to make them on north / south and east / west near to the footers and place in the screws. You will get stronger boards then.
