You can fix the plan for 30 days until you quit the bad habit and gets adapted to the new behavior. Appraise your reasons for stopping alcohol. Writing down the advantage of quitting alcohol is also good idea. Never resume the habit again after stopping successfully. If you relapse, begin again by sticking with your plan this time. Continue your behavior by trying it for another 30 days.
Since changing the behavior is not that easy, you have to be determined and patient for your new behavior. You need a lot of patience to practice new behaviors that would become your new habit. If you think your plan is not as successful as expected, it would be better to talk with your doctor about alternate techniques to impede drinking alcohol.
