How To Make a Milk Shake
Milkshakes are creamy and a delightful combination of ice cream with the simplicity of a liquid. By following the steps given in this article, you can almost effortlessly make a milkshake or more for yourself and friends. The quantity of ingredients mentioned below is for two big or four large vanilla shakes. The strawberry and/or chocolate sauce are optional.
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
4 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup frozen/fresh strawberries
4 teaspoons chocolate sauce
Steps:
- The first step is not to start making the juice but instead to chill your milkshake glasses by placing them in the freezers for a maximum of one hour. A cold glass would keep your shake cool and provide you with more time to enjoy the drink.
- Allow the ice cream to become soft. You can do this by taking it out of the freezer a couple of minutes before you start preparing the shake. Softening the ice cream would make shake-making easier.
- Introduce the ingredients (ice cream, added flavors and milk) into a blender and mix on high for 60 seconds. Dont keep the mixture in the blender for more time otherwise the shake would melt quickly.
- Once the blending is complete, take out the glasses which you had kept in the freezer and pour the shake into them.
- Put a straw into your yummy shake and enjoy. Theres nothing wrong in drinking a shake straight from the glass. However, the straw somehow adds to the pleasant experience and flavor.
A milkshake isn't just great for a hot summers day, it can also make a perfect midnight treat. Unfortunately, milkshakes are rich in sugar and calories making them especially unfit for diabetics. They may also contribute to the development of problems like obesity, general decadence, and tooth decay. To make your shake less of a health threat, you can consider using skimmed or low-fat milk, and artificially sweetened or light ice cream. Before you blend the milk and icecream, add bananas and/or other fruits into the blender.
The usual milkshake is prepared using cows milk which has some fat. So, you must not substitute cows milk with skim milk or goats milk. For a thicker shake, just avoid step number 2 and use an additional cup of icecream. Also, this time, you dont have to soften the ice cream prior to blending.
