How To Get a Ring off Your Finger

A ring can get stuck on a swollen finger with weight gain, pregnancy etc. Though not impossible, you require a little bit of trying getting the ring off your finger.

Steps:

1. Lathering soap throughout your finger and putting your finger under warm water and then pulling on it can enable it to slip loose from your finger.

2. Another method is enveloping your finger from the ring tightly and then greasing it up in such a way that your swollen finger is below the clingy wrap. After waiting for few minutes, gently pull the ring and the wrapping simultaneously.

3. Spraying window cleaner on your ring is another easy method to get off your ring. Other than applying lotions, window cleaner does not damage the precious stone of your ring, thereby leaving the ring shiny after getting it off your swollen finger.

4. Wrapping tape just past the ring is another method. After leaving the tape on for 30 minutes, ice your hand whilst holding it above your chest for 15 minutes again. After taking off the tape, slowly spray window cleaner on your finger. Pull it off while twisting your finger.

5. Another is the string method. Wrap thick string tightly down to the ring from the top of your finger and put the end of the string under the ring. Now pull up the string slowly along with the ring.

Lubricating the area around the ring and removing before the starting of swelling is the best method to follow. Swollen finger should be treated with ice prior to lubricating and removing. A medical professional can help in removing it with a saw.

Avoid using bolt cutters that can scratch your finger. Rather than doing it yourself, it is always recommended to get the help and advice of a professional medical adviser during emergency.

After the ring gets off your finger, you should make sure to follow two different things such as washing your hands at once and waiting for a few weeks or even months to get another ring sized to fit your finger yet again.
