How To Give a Massage
Make the person you are massaging lie facing up on a firm padded surface. With your finger tips slowly stroke their face, while moving from the center out ending with a circular motion at the temples. Massage along the cheeks and jawbones while giving firm press release motion at the upper ridge of the eye sockets. You can use your finger tips in massaging the scalp with sufficient pressure to shift the skin on the scalp.
While moving to the neck area, use one hand to cradle the head of the person. Remember to focus on the base of the skull with large bulges. From neck, slowly glide your hand out and press the shoulder tops down toward the feet. Massage the shoulder muscles in a kneading fashion and slowly shift to the collar bone area. Using medium pressure on the chest, use downward glides by applying light pressure on the area of the stomach. Now, massage back up the sides firmly once.
To massage the arms, start at the wrist and move slowly toward the armpits using gliding strokes. Continue with your finger tips to the sides of the arms. Inside of the arms can be massaged using your thumbs, while grasping the arms and rotating both of them vigorously back and forth the complete length. The same stroke for the leg massage while massaging knee caps in circular motion with the thumbs. Massage the feet and hands from the ankles and wrists out. Apply extra pressure in the center and around the pad areas. Work circular motion for fingers and toes.
After this, turn over on their stomach and begin by kneading the buttocks along with twisting of the knuckles of your index fingers into the hollows. Move your hands in gliding strokes down from the shoulder to the back, while massaging the spine with your thumbs on each side. Finish by drumming the muscles by raking with your hands to provide wonderful feeling along with increased blood circulation in the body.
